What is Cupro fabric?
Cupro fabric is created using cotton linter, the leftover waste from cotton production. Linter is cellulose fibers that are attached to the cotton seed are usually discarded with the seed during the manufacturing process. These fibers are recycled and spun into yarn to create the fabric. Cupro fabrics feel like silk against the skin and are breathable, so they make an excellent choice for fabric lining. We exclusively utilize Bemberg™ Cupro in our collection.
What makes Cupro sustainable?
Cupro is manufactured from a by-product of traditional cotton manufacturing. This reduces waste.
Bemberg™ Cupro is created using a closed-loop system, meaning chemicals and water is reused in the manufacturing process.
This fabric is 100% biodegradable, as it is comprised entirely of cotton cellulose fibers.
It is produced without using harmful chemicals.
